Preventive teatment of empty warehouses / silos
The so-called DESO in warehouses/silos is carried out for pest control, foremost preventively, before receiving new goods or to prevent the spread of insects. High-pressure machines that we use can dispense highly concentrated mixture and generate droplets (usually with a diameter of 5–30 microns) with high accuracy. This type of treatment is often also referred to as Ultra Low Volume treatment, because it can be used to treat very large areas with a small quantity of chemical. ULV machines generate fog droplets using a large volume of low-pressure air. Due to the small number of droplets, the permeability of fog is limited in areas with lots of obstacles.
ULV machines can dispense more concentrated mixtures, because they use less solvent. The machines generate optimally-sized particles for each chemical, which makes ULV fogging the preferred method wherever possible.
Fumigation of heritage sites and wooden buildings
Protection of heritage sites, wooden buildings and antiques against pests is entirely possible through fumigation. For example, we can fumigate open-air museum buildings, churches, farm facilities, antique furniture, etc. Wherever the use of all conventional protective agents is limited. Objects are sealed and treated with toxic gas that permeates all details of the building or object, thus destroying all pests.
Fumigation in warehouses
The aim of fumigation in warehouses is foremost to protect transit goods stored both long-term and short-term against various insect infections.
Goods are covered with a gas-impermeable plastic sheet, and the injected toxic gas destroys various pests in all stages of development.

Fumigation in grain storage
We fumigate all different types grain storage: elevators, silos, hoppers, floor storage, etc. Toxic gas is heavier than air and gradually sinks from the highest level to the bottom. The gas penetrates grains, destroying the eggs laid in them by pest insects. Fumigation can achieve completely insect-free grain. Fumigation in ship holds
We offer comprehensive service to grain transit vessels from the loading port to the port of destination, or the so- called port-to-port service. We use all the fumigation methods known in the world: passive, recirculation, fumisleeve. We comply with the requirements of all port authorities of all countries. We issue both fumigation and ventilation certificates upon the receipt of goods. We carry out preventive inspection of ship holds, e.g. Ultrasonic (UT) tests. We do follow-up inspections and provide consultation.
Fumigation in marine containers
Various products are fumigated in marine containers: e.g. raw food ingredients, consumer goods, roundwood, sawn timber, finished products, etc. Services offered by Fumiteam OÜ strictly comply with the requirements established by the Agricultural Board (including chemicals, consumption rates, exposure time, etc.).
